Mark P. Southall, PCAM®, CPM®, CMCA®, AMS®, COS®

As President of Principal Management Group of North Texas, Mark Southall oversees the firm's management operations for the North Texas region. He is responsible for his division's two offices - located in Dallas and Fort Worth - and for some 150 employees in the region. Having served the firm well in positions of significant responsibility prior to his assignment to this executive post, Mr. Southall is eminently qualified to fill this important leadership role.

A veteran community manager, Mr. Southall's experience encompasses virtually all facets of the community management industry - including community associations, commercial buildings, and apartment communities. Mr. Southall served on the board of directors for the Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter of Community Associations from 1998-2001, and as its President during 1999. Mr. Southall is currently serving another term on the Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter board which runs from 2003 through 2008. In 2001 Mr. Southall was inducted into the Community Associations Institute Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter's Hall of Fame for his work in promoting the community association industry.

Mr. Southall holds the following professional designations: Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM) and Association Management Specialist (AMS) awarded by Community Associations Institute, Certified Property Manager (CPM) awarded by the Institute of Real Estate Management, Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) awarded by the National Board of Certification for Community Association Managers (NBC-CAM). A Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS), Mr. Southall has also established himself as an expert in the field of assisted living.

A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, Mr. Southall's background includes positions in the banking industry where his responsibilities included commercial and residential asset management. Among his former positions, he served for six years as Senior Vice President of a prominent area bank.

Laura Price, Senior Vice President

Laura L. Price serves as Senior Vice President of Principal Management Group and brings to that executive position an extensive background of management and direction of common interest development management.

Ms. Price has over 25 years of experience and knowledge in the common interest development (CID) industry which encompasses residential, commercial, retail and multi-unit condominiums, with an impeccable record for client satisfaction.

Ms. Price has achieved national recognition from the prestigious Community Associations Institute as a Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) and as an Association Management Specialist (AMS), as well as professional certification by the California Association of Community Managers, Inc. (CCAM), one of the largest professional organizations at the state level and one of the most active organizations involved in state legislature for the governess of common interest developments. Her wealth of executive level experience in a very rapidly growing CID industry has served to put her at the forefront of the industry’s growth.

Ms. Price believes that managers of community associations should bring a new standard of common interest development management service to the area and be bound by strict codes of ethics and other client protections. Her objective is to effectively guide management entities toward high standards of practice and strong risk management values developing successful neighborhoods and communities.

Ms. Price grew up traveling the world in a military family and now resides in Frisco with her husband and two daughters, Carrie and Bonnie.
