Principal Management Group Walks to Fight Blindness
Walkers Raised $3000 to Help Fund Sight-Saving Research Through Foundation Fighting Blindness
Dallas, TX June 10, 2009 - Principal Management Group of North Texas (PMG), an Associa Company, recently participated in a walk-a-thon as “Bonnie Believers” in support of the Greater DFW Chapter of the Foundation Fighting Blindness, Inc. (FFB). The walk-a-thon is the 2nd annual for Dallas and is the signature fundraiser for Foundation Fighting Blindness, Inc.
Over 350 participants joined in the event festivities and walked around White Rock Lake in Dallas, Texas. PMG employees walked with other Bonnie Believers in support of not only the Foundation for Blindness but also for Bonnie Price, the daughter of Laura Price, SVP of Principal Management Group of North Texas. Employees also contributed pre and post race with accounting and security assistance. In total Bonnie Believers raised $3000 to help fund vital research for blindness.
The Foundation Fighting Blindness, Inc. works to promote and encourage research that will provide all levels of assistance to individuals affected by retinitis pigmentosa, macular degeneration, Usher syndrome, and other retinal degenerative diseases. FFB currently funds over 115 research studies at 80 prominent research facilities and has established the National Neurovision Research Institute.
